Gardener: Manual Labour Hours: 36 Hours Per Week, Full-Time Contract: 2+ Month Temporary Contract Location: Sandgate Industrial Estate, Southwark, SE15 1LE, United Kingdom Pay Rate: PAYE £15.88 per hour Target Start Date: ASAP Duration: 2+ Months Positions: Required We're recruiting Gardeners to support Southwark Council's estate services team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone reliable, hardworking, and confident working outdoors in a busy environment. About the Role As a Gardener, you'll provide essential grounds maintenance services across council estates, helping to ensure outdoor spaces are safe, tidy, and well maintained. What you'll be doing: • Carrying out grounds maintenance on council estates • Cutting and maintaining grassed areas • Maintaining shrub beds and landscaped areas • Operating grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively, including: • Strimmers • Hedge cutters • Leaf blowers • Lawn mowers • Keeping outdoor areas clean, tidy, and well maintained • Following health and safety procedures at all times What We're Looking For We're looking for someone practical, reliable, and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
