Your Role as Our Gas Breakdown Engineer:
• Attend and diagnose gas heating breakdowns within domestic properties.
• Carry out fault-finding, repairs, and first-time fixes where possible, ensuring systems are restored safely and efficiently.
• Work in accordance with health & safety guidelines, safe working practices, operational procedures, gas safety regulations, and specifications.
• Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota to support customers when they need us most.
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and safety.
• Accurately report and complete work using a PDA/mobile device.
• Report accidents, near-miss events, and potential hazards.
• Be flexible in working with a wide range of customers, adapting to their needs and schedules.
• Identify and advise on any further remedial works required to ensure safe operation of heating systems.
What We Need from You:
• ACS qualifications: CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
• Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing domestic gas heating systems.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude towards varied work and schedules.
• Excellent customer service skills with experience working directly with the public.
• A solid understanding of gas legislation and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices and working to industry best standards.
• Ability to manage your time and workload independently.
• Recognised formal qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) desirable.
• Additional qualifications (LPG, Unvented) are advantageous.
