General Assistant Location: Derwent Hill, Portinscale, Keswick, Cumbria Salary: Grade 2 (SCP 5 - 6) £25,949 - £25,989 (pro rata) Vacancy Type: Permanent Derwent Hill are looking to recruit General Assistants, the job will include evenings, weekends and possibly some kitchen shifts. Main Purpose To provide excellent customer service as part of the Derwent Hill Venue Team. To complete general housekeeping duties and other customer service tasks including food & drink service Key Tasks • Cleaning of all areas • Service of food and drink • Preparation of dining areas for meals • Washing up • Laundry • Assisting chefs in kitchen duties • Serving in the bar and shop • Moving furniture and setting up rooms as required • During appropriate periods use opportunities to develop your skills • Other reasonable duties as may be directed by the Centre Director • Contribute to Derwent Hill’s welcoming and supportive ethos, working flexibly when necessary to support colleagues. Experience • Working in a housekeeping, kitchen and/or bar environment with experience of customer service. • Ability to develop knowledge and experience of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations and to follow these regulations and Council Policies.
