Job Summary
Glenlyn Medical Centre is pleased to invite applications from
enthusiastic and patient-focused General Practitioners to join the team on a permanent basis.
This role is for 32 hours per week.
The post is practice based at Glenlyn Medical Centre, the local site East Molesey.
The site operates as an integrated part of Glenlyn Medical Centre, which includes the Emberbrook Site (Giggs Hill Surgery) benefiting from shared leadership, governance arrangements, clinical systems,
and a unified team culture.
The role offers a rewarding mix of face-to-face and telephone
consultations, delivering high-quality care within a supportive and
forward-thinking practice aligned with BMA and Local Medical Committee (LMC)
guidance on sustainable and professional GP working.
About the Practice
Glenlyn Medical Centre is a well-established NHS GP practice serving the
communities of East Molesey and Thames Ditton.
The practice operates across two sites, offering continuity of care and
a strong sense of team identity.
Glenlyn is committed to relationship-based general practice, clinical

The practice is part of the East Elmbridge Primary Care Network,
combining collaborative working with a strong focus on practice-based care.
The Role
The successful candidate will deliver the full range of general practice
services, providing high-quality primary medical care through a balanced mix of
face-to-face and telephone consultations within a practice-based model.
The role includes participation in the Duty GP rota for one day per
week, delivered within a structured and supportive framework.
Key Responsibilities
•
Providing comprehensive general
medical care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
•
Managing acute presentations,
same-day demand, and undifferentiated illness
•
Delivering ongoing care for
patients with long-term conditions and complex health needs
•
Undertaking Duty GP
responsibilities one day per week with appropriate support
•
Reviewing and actioning
investigations, correspondence, and clinical tasks
•
Prescribing safely and
effectively in line with national and local guidance
•
Contributing to safeguarding,
quality improvement, and multidisciplinary teamwork
•
Maintaining accurate, timely,
and high-quality clinical records
