Job description

Global Data Governance Manager, Head of Data, Professional Services, Partnership Firm, Regulated Environment, Governance, Compliance, CDO, Central London Global Data Governance Manager / Head of Data required to work for an exciting Professional Services firm based in Central London. Due to the seniority of the role, it is mainly in-person / office based, along with some Global Travel to the United States, Europe and the Far East. This is a senior leadership role reporting into the Global Chief Technology Officer, with full ownership of the firm’s data agenda and the responsibility to deliver meaningful change across the organisation. It is a major appointment for the firm and they are looking for someone credible, steady, resilient and able to influence senior stakeholders. If you want to take real ownership of a Global Data agenda and build something meaningful, this will suit you. We need you to have Global (or Multi-National as a minimum) Data Leadership experience within a heavily regulated environment within Professional Services (Accountancy, Legal, Insurance, Consulting). They want someone who has worked for a Partnership firm previously and understands the challenges when dealing with Senior Partners. Read on for more details… Experience required: • Solid ‘Global Remit’ or ‘Multi National’ experience working within a Partnership Firm • Senior Data Leadership experience within a heavily regulated environment • Confident working with Partners, senior stakeholders and C-suite leaders • Proven ability to deliver complex change across governance, quality, integration and data programmes • Technology First experience with knowledge of the likes of Data Bricks, Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and practically • Ability to be a great negotiator and have proven stakeholder management skills in difficult situations (with the battle scars to prove it!) • Solid commercial judgement and a delivery-focused mindset • Experience building data culture, continuous improvement and governance frameworks • Understanding of modern data platforms, architectures and approaches • Experience with automation or artificial intelligence programmes is an advantage • Data protection qualifications such as CIPP/E or CIPM are helpful but not essential • Comfortable handling complexity, managing competing priorities and standing your ground when needed • We do not want a Data Engineer but if your career started with something like being a ‘Data Analyst’, this would be advantageous It is a great opportunity and salary is dependent upon experience.
