About the RoleAs a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and school leaders to develop your classroom practice while supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will gradually take on greater responsibility as you build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to progress into teacher training.
Key Responsibilities
• Support teaching and learning across a range of curriculum subjects
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
• Provide one-to-one and small group intervention sessions to help students achieve their full potential
• Support students with varying abilities, including those with SEND and additional learning needs
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom resources, and daily school routines
• Gain valuable school-based experience to prepare for future teacher training
Who This Role Would Suit
• Graduates from any degree discipline (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, and Languages particularly welcomed)
• Individuals with experience working with young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work, or similar settings
• Aspiring teachers looking to build a long-term career in secondary education
