The Role As a Graduate Trainee, you'll learn the business from the ground up, build strong customer relationships and progress into a field sales and business management position. Graduate Training Programme: First 6 Months • Develop core knowledge of how the business operates - sales, warehouse, logistics, supply chain, administration, IT software, and marketing. • Build a deep understanding of the product range and the electrical wholesale industry. • Start building relationships, winning deals and advising customers face-to-face over the trade counter, e.g. electricians, contractors and tradespeople. • Begin your formal sales training course, attend Head Office training and network with other Graduate Trainees. • Complete workbook assessments and earn training bonuses for your progress. 6-12 Months • Move into internal sales/account management, engaging with B2B customers by phone, e.g. construction companies, local government authorities, housing developers and hotels. • Learn business development strategies and how to target and win new key accounts. 12 Months and Beyond • Progress to a varied B2B field sales management role with higher earning potential. • Travel locally in your company car to meet clients, socialise, discuss projects and build strong relationships. • Work towards running your own business within the group, gaining experience in staff management, purchasing and profit and loss. Managers enjoy significant autonomy thanks to the company's decentralised structure.
