Head of BD & Marketing - Debt Finance

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development & Marketing leader to join the global business development team of a leading international law firm. Supporting a high-performing finance practice, you'll work closely with senior partners to shape and execute business development strategy, drive client growth, and enhance market profile across an international platform. This is a highly visible role, offering the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making while leading high-impact business development initiatives. The Opportunity As a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, you will: • Develop and deliver business development and marketing strategies aligned to the firm's commercial objectives. • Lead client development initiatives, strategic campaigns and cross-selling opportunities across international teams. • Oversee major pitches, panel appointments and proposal activity, working alongside specialist bid teams. • Drive thought leadership, profile-raising activities, client events and legal directory submissions. • Use market intelligence and client insight to identify growth opportunities and shape business development priorities. • Partner with colleagues across marketing, communications and other business services functions to deliver integrated campaigns and measurable results. • Ensure business development activity is effectively planned, executed and evaluated to maximise return on investment. About you You'll be an accomplished business development professional with experience operating at a strategic level within a legal or professional services environment. Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, you'll combine commercial awareness with excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to turn strategy into action. You will also bring: • Significant experience leading business development and marketing initiatives within a professional services environment. • A proven track record of advising senior stakeholders and supporting business growth. • Strong project management, organisational and communication skills. • Experience delivering client development programmes, strategic campaigns and complex pitch activity. • A collaborative, proactive approach with a focus on delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
