Head of Legal Services • Job Type: Full-time, Remote • Location: Remote • Salary: Competitive My client, a leading recycling and resource recovery company, are seeking a Head of Legal Services to oversee a diverse range of legal responsibilities, including contracts, disputes, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and more. This stand-alone role reports directly to the CFO and offers the opportunity to shape the legal framework of a company that plays a crucial role in resource recovery and environmental services. Day-to-day of the role: • Manage a varied caseload including contract reviews, disputes with customers and clients, and mergers and acquisitions. • Handle legal matters related to property, compliance, data privacy, and intellectual property. • Provide strategic legal advice and support to the senior management team. • Oversee and manage external legal resources and counsel as needed. • Prepare and review legal documentation and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience as a sole in-house counsel, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or operational business. • Strong background in handling a wide range of legal issues including contracts, disputes, and compliance. • Excellent legal, analytical, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and manage a comprehensive legal function. • Qualified lawyer with a valid license to practice.
