Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to take full ownership of operational performance across a busy and fast-paced fulfilment and logistics environment. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll be responsible for ensuring service, cost, quality, safety, and productivity targets are consistently achieved through strong leadership, effective decision-making, and operational discipline. The OpportunityAs Head of Operations, you will have end-to-end responsibility for operational execution across the site, leading a team of Shift Managers and operational leaders to deliver exceptional results. You'll play a key role in creating a highly accountable culture, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive operation. Key Responsibilities • Lead operational performance across all shifts and functions. • Translate business strategy and objectives into clear operational plans. • Manage and deliver key KPIs relating to productivity, labour, service, quality, and cost. • Resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively. • Lead, coach, and develop Shift Managers and the Inventory Manager. • Drive accountability and performance throughout the management team. • Ensure SOPs, operational controls, and best practices are embedded and maintained. • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the operation. • Maintain the highest standards of health & safety and compliance. • Create a stable, disciplined, and high-performing operational environment. About You • Proven senior operations leadership experience within logistics, fulfilment, warehousing, distribution, or a similar fast-paced environment. • Strong track record of delivering operational excellence and KPI improvement. • Experience leading and developing management teams. • Commercially aware with the ability to balance service, cost, quality, and productivity objectives. • A decisive leader with excellent problem-solving abilities. • Passionate about continuous improvement and operational standards. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
