Head of Talent & Resourcing Interim contract for 3 months initially Full time, 35 hours per week Location: based in East London Hybrid working available: 3 days onsite per week Salary: competitive day rate Are you an experienced Talent & Resourcing leader who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments? Do you enjoy balancing strategic workforce planning with hands-on operational delivery? If so, we have an exciting interim opportunity with a large and ambitious public sector organisation undergoing significant transformation. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will drive talent attraction, recruitment excellence and strategic workforce planning initiatives that make a genuine organisational impact. Working as part of a senior HR leadership team, you will lead a specialist resourcing function and play a key role in delivering innovative recruitment strategies that support the organisation's future workforce needs. The Opportunity As Interim Head of Talent & Resourcing, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the recruitment and talent agenda. You will be responsible for ensuring the organisation attracts, recruits and retains exceptional talent whilst improving recruitment performance, enhancing candidate experience and strengthening workforce capability. This role offers the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, lead transformational projects and develop sustainable workforce solutions across a large and diverse organisation. Key Responsibilities • Lead and develop the Talent & Resourcing function, ensuring a high-performing and customer-focused service. • Drive recruitment and attraction strategies to support organisational priorities. • Deliver improvements to recruitment processes, reducing time-to-hire and enhancing candidate experience. • Provide expert advice on workforce planning, talent management and succession planning. • Partner with senior leaders to identify current and future workforce needs. • Oversee high-volume recruitment activity across critical service areas. • Develop innovative approaches to talent attraction, employer branding and candidate engagement. • Utilise workforce data and insights to inform strategic decision-making. • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the recruitment lifecycle. • Lead and support key workforce transformation and organisational change programmes. About You We are keen to hear from experienced Talent Acquisition, Resourcing or Recruitment leaders who can demonstrate: • Significant experience leading talent and resourcing functions within a large, complex organisation. Experience within the Public Sector or Local Government would be advantageous. • Strong understanding of workforce planning, recruitment strategy and talent management. • Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment programmes. • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership level. • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams. • Strong analytical capability and confidence using workforce data to drive performance improvements. • A passion for delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences. • A commitment to diversity, inclusion and equitable recruitment practices.
