Job description

Your New Company An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and organised Helpdesk Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced team based in Alconbury. This is a full-time temporary position offering hybrid working arrangements and an immediate start. You will play a key role in supporting customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring service requests and maintenance issues are logged, monitored, and resolved efficiently. Your New RoleAs Helpdesk Administrator, you will be responsible for providing first-line administrative support to customers and engineers, ensuring all service requests are managed effectively. Key responsibilities will include: • Logging, updating and managing service requests through the helpdesk system • Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email • Allocating jobs and coordinating engineer attendance to meet service level agreements • Monitoring open tickets and ensuring timely resolution of issues • Liaising with customers, contractors and internal departments to provide updates on outstanding requests • Raising purchase orders and processing associated documentation • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems • Producing reports and administrative documentation as required • Escalating urgent issues to the appropriate teams • Supporting the wider administration team with ad hoc duties What You'll Need to Succeed • Previous experience within a helpdesk, customer service, facilities, scheduling or administration role • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel and Word • Experience using CRM, service management or helpdesk systems would be advantageous • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • A proactive and customer-focused approach What You'll Get in Return • Competitive hourly rate of £15.47 per hour • Hybrid working arrangement • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday • Immediate start available • Ongoing temporary assignment with potential for extension • Opportunity to gain experience within a supportive and professional environment What You Need to Do NowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or contact us today for a confidential discussion about your career.
