HGV Technician Location: Brierley Hill Salary: £16.00 - £22.00 per hour (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time hours available Our client, a well-established and respected commercial vehicle business based in Brierley Hill, is looking to recruit experienced HGV Technicians to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians looking for a stable, long-term role within the commercial vehicle industry. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable and compliant with industry standards. Key Responsibilities • Carry out routine servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles. • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and technical faults. • Complete preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime. • Carry out MOT preparation and rectification work where required. • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. • Maintain accurate job records and documentation. • Follow health and safety procedures and company standards at all times. • Work effectively as part of a skilled workshop team. About YouThe successful candidate will: • Have previous experience working as an HGV Technician or in a similar commercial vehicle role. • Possess strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. • Have a good understanding of HGV systems and mechanical components. • Be able to work independently and as part of a team. • Take pride in producing high-quality workmanship. • Be reliable, professional and safety-focused. Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or an IRTEC qualification would be advantageous, although relevant experience will also be considered.
