Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – All-Through SEND School Location: Lewisham Pay:£120–£150 per day (depending on experience) Hours: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm Start Date: ASAP Dress Code: Casual / Dress Down Complete Classroom Services are seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive all-through SEND school in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and is confident working across a range of age groups and abilities. About the Role: • Delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupil progress • Assisting with the implementation and review of EHCP targets • Supporting students with a range of SEND needs across the school • Managing and supporting multiple pupils within classroom and intervention settings • Recording and reporting incidents, observations and progress using CPOMS • Adapting support strategies to meet individual pupil needs and emotional regulation requirements • Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team We're Looking For Someone Who: • Holds a HLTA qualification or has at least 4 years' experience working as an HLTA • Has a strong understanding of EHCPs, report writing and SEND support strategies • Has experience delivering interventions and using Team Teach strategies • Is confident supporting and managing more than one child at a time • Has good basic IT skills and experience using systems such as CPOMS • Is adaptable, proactive and able to respond effectively to changing pupil needs and moods • Holds a DBS on the Update Service Benefits: • Competitive pay of £120–£150 per day • Supportive and welcoming SEND school environment • Ongoing professional development opportunities • Casual dress code • Shuttle bus service available from the local station for staff using public transport • Opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people with SEND If you're passionate about SEND education and looking to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
