Job description

Are you ready to design high-voltage systems that power life-saving medical equipment, advanced defense radars, and cutting-edge industrial technology? Pure Resourcing Solutions is partnering with a global pioneer in highly reliable, complex RF power electronics. Our client designs and manufactures specialised power components that operate in the most demanding environments on earth and beyond. We are seeking a highly skilled High-Voltage Electronics Engineer to join their multidisciplinary engineering group. If you are an expert in power electronics who thrives on driving products from initial concept all the way through to volume production, this is your opportunity to lead, innovate, and make a tangible global impact. The Role As a High-Voltage Electronics Engineer, you will be the technical driving force within the RF Power Project Engineering group. You will champion the product lifecycle of high-reliability, high-voltage (5kV - 60 kV) systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to turn complex customer requirements into robust, manufacturable realities. Your day-to-day will be highly varied, bridging the gap between R&D and manufacturing. You will design sub-systems and circuits to strict cost and compliance targets, steer products through New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, and ensure robust Design for Manufacture (DFM) standards. Beyond new designs, you will act as a technical authority for production support, conducting component-level fault analysis, resolving performance issues, and driving continuous improvement. As a senior figure, you will also monitor market technologies for upgrade opportunities and provide vital mentorship to junior engineers. Essential Requirements • Experience: Proven experience in product development and power electronic system design. • High Voltage/Power Expertise: Experience working with HV power systems. • Clearance: Ability to gain Full UK Security Clearance (SC) • Education: Degree in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent high-level practical experience. • Core Technical Skills: • Switch-Mode Power Supply (SMPS) design. • High-frequency digital and analogue circuit design (ideally within MILSPEC applications). • PCB design, layout tools, and schematic capture. • Safety & Compliance: Electrical safety, safe working practices, risk assessments, and mitigation activities. Desirable Requirements • Testing & Analysis: Strong knowledge of electrical and RF test techniques and DFMEA/FMEA • Systems: Experience utilizing ERP/SAP systems. • Commercial Acumen: Previous experience identifying IPR/patent opportunities and supporting claim generation. Benefits of our client's culture • Meaningful Impact: Work on mission-critical technologies that are utilised worldwide in aerospace, defense, healthcare, and industrial sectors. • Technical Leadership: Step into a senior role where your voice dictates design direction and you have the platform to mentor the next generation of engineers. • Collaborative Environment: Join a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team that values continuous improvement, robust problem solving, and innovative thinking. • End-to-End Ownership: Enjoy the rare opportunity to stay with your designs from the initial whiteboard concept right through to high-volume manufacturing and in-service support. • Career Advancement: Access to unparalleled technical challenges that will naturally expand your expertise, backed by the resources of an industry-leading organisation.
