Location: Liverpool Salary: £30-35,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent A respected law firm in Liverpool is seeking an Experienced Housing Law Solicitor to join their expanding Housing Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate advocate who wants to make a real difference to tenants facing housing crises. The firm provides vital legal services to tenants dealing with issues such as Unlawful Eviction, Repossession, Homelessness, and Housing Disrepair. They hold Legal Aid contracts across Liverpool and Sefton, as well as Housing Loss Prevention Advice Services (HLPAS) contracts for Liverpool and Birkenhead, including the Housing In-Court Duty Scheme. The Role This is a dynamic and rewarding position involving a significant amount of advocacy. You will be expected to cover regular court sessions under the Housing Duty Scheme, supporting clients who may be distressed, vulnerable, or in urgent need of assistance. You should be confident in handling a varied caseload and familiar with: • Working closely with clients, including those in crisis • Acting for both Claimants and Defendants • Undertaking advocacy at Court • Liaising with Counsel • All aspects of public funding and Legal Aid processes What We’re Looking For • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Housing Law (essential) • Strong advocacy skills and confidence in fast-paced environments • Ability to manage, organise, and evaluate your own workload • Excellent interpersonal skills and resilience when supporting vulnerable clients • A proactive, committed approach to improving housing conditions and challenging unfair practices • Willingness to undertake some administrative duties as part of the role Why Apply?
