4Recruitment Services are seeking to recruit a Housing Resolutions Officer for our client based in Wembley. JOB PURPOSE: • To provide housing options advice to households in temporary accommodation and promote effective move-on to other settled housing, including private rented sector, intermediate and social housing. • The post-holder will also undertake suitability of accommodation reviews, fear of violence investigations and related enforcement activity; work with accommodation providers and other services to resolve complaints and tenancy support issues; and support the implementation of a programme of tenancy audits. • To provide tailored support and assistance to all accepted homeless households by ensuring they move on to more settled housing in a timely fashion. To ensure any offers of accommodation made is in compliance with legislation and Suitability Order; issue temporary accommodation offer and suitability letters. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Provide housing advice and support to households in temporary accommodation, helping them access suitable long-term housing options. • Manage caseloads, conduct home visits, and support residents with tenancy sustainment and move-on plans. • Work with internal teams and external agencies to deliver holistic support, including employment, welfare, and social care referrals. • Assess homelessness duties, manage legal obligations, and handle appeals, reviews, and complex housing cases. • Investigate domestic abuse, safeguarding concerns, tenancy breaches, fraud, and anti-social behaviour, taking appropriate action. • Monitor temporary accommodation, ensuring compliance, property standards, repairs, and health and safety requirements. • Liaise with landlords, housing providers, and stakeholders to resolve accommodation issues and minimise voids and costs. • Respond to customer enquiries, complaints, and legal correspondence, including court and Ombudsman cases. • Maintain accurate records, produce performance reports, and ensure compliance with housing legislation and Council policies. • Build positive relationships with residents, partners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, customer-focused housing services. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: • Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996, parts 6 and 7, as amended, the Homelessness Act 2002, Localism Act 2012, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and related legislation and case law. • A good understanding and awareness of housing issues and homelessness issues. • Good knowledge of landlord and tenant law, the possession grounds relating to rented properties and the eligibility criteria for means tested benefits. • Experience of giving advice and information to customers and working with vulnerable groups • Strong and effective experience in provision of exceptional customer services. • Experience of the Suitability Assessment in recommending potential pathways for homeless households residing in temporary accommodation. • Basic DBS check Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services is an equal opportunities employer.
