Housing Solutions Officer - RB Kingston Upon Thames **Job Title:** Housing Solutions Officer **Location:** Kingston upon Thames, United Kingdom **About the Role / Job Summary:** The Council is focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for its communities. To do this, the Council needs employees who thrive in an agile and networked organisation and who can support continuous improvement within a constructive organisational culture. The purpose of the role is to work proactively and collaboratively with households who are homeless or threatened with homelessness to provide comprehensive advice and assist them in retaining their current housing or securing alternative accommodation. You will ensure that performance targets are met and contribute to the overall development of the service while reporting directly to the Housing Solutions Team Manager. **Key Responsibilities:** - Work collaboratively with households facing homelessness to provide advice and support. - Agree on practical steps to prevent or relieve homelessness. - Manage a caseload of applicants under the Homelessness Reduction Act. - Participate in a duty rota for 'homeless on the day' interviews. - Conduct thorough homelessness investigations in compliance with statutory guidance. - Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. - Utilize new technologies to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. **Qualifications:** - Experience in housing management or related fields. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. **Education Requirements:** - Relevant degree or equivalent experience in housing, social work, or a related field. **Experience Requirements:** - Minimum of 2 years' experience in housing solutions or homelessness services. - Familiarity with legislation related to homelessness and housing.
