Job description

Visiting and Tenancy Sustainment Officer Pay: £20.08 PAYE / £26.44 Umbrella per hour Contract: Temporary until November 2026 Location: Wembley, HA9 0FJ (site-based) The Role We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Visiting and Tenancy Sustainment Officer to support residents in maintaining successful and sustainable tenancies. This role involves carrying out home visits, identifying support needs, promoting health and safety, and working closely with partner services to improve resident outcomes. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must have access to a vehicle and be able to travel regularly across the area. Key Responsibilities • Conduct tenancy and welfare visits to residents. • Identify vulnerabilities, safeguarding concerns, and tenancy support needs. • Carry out basic health and safety and fire safety checks within homes. • Report repairs, damp and mould, disrepair, and property-related concerns. • Provide tenancy advice and signpost residents to appropriate support services. • Gather and maintain accurate resident and household information. • Support residents through referrals to services such as financial inclusion, employment support, and occupational therapy. • Manage complex cases and work with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes. • Maintain accurate records and deliver a high standard of customer service. Requirements • Housing management experience. • Experience working in housing, local government, or a similar customer-focused environment. • Knowledge of social housing, safeguarding, health and safety, and GDPR. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently. • Strong IT skills and experience maintaining detailed case records. • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
