Job description

HR Advisor Location: Black Country Are you an ambitious HR Advisor ready to step into a role where you can truly own your space, influence day-to-day operations, and grow your career? One of my clients is looking for a proactive, engagement focused HR Advisor to join their collaborative team. In this role, you’ll be at the center of people operations, acting as a trusted partner to managers, a champion for employees, and a key driver of workplace culture. Why You’ll Love This Role • No two days will look the same. You will balance core HR operations with exciting, culture-shaping projects. • You will have the space to manage your own caseload and recruitment processes, backed by a supportive leadership team. • Beyond daily HR advisory work, you will collaborate on projects like employee wellbeing, diversity & inclusion, and workforce data analysis. What You’ll Be Doing As our go-to HR champion, you’ll focus on the below: • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries, offering expert guidance on policies, processes, and UK employment law. • Manage routine employee relations cases (absence, performance, grievances, and disciplinaries), guiding managers with confidence and escalating complex issues when needed. • Partner with management to implement organizational change, ensuring smooth, transparent communication across teams. • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment journey: from drafting job descriptions and screening top talent to sitting on interview panels. • Own the onboarding experience, creating a seamless, welcoming "Day One" and beyond for every new hire (including right-to-work checks and system setup). • Manage HR data, compliance and payroll preparation data. • Track and analyse key metrics (turnover, absence, training) to provide leadership with actionable insights for workforce planning. • Champion employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and wellness events. What You Bring to the Team • Proven experience in a dedicated HR Advisor or generalist role, with a solid understanding of UK employment law. • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. You know how to handle sensitive situations with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism. • Comfort managing HR information systems, tracking metrics, and ensuring accurate data for payroll and compliance. • A self-starter who looks at a process and thinks, "How can we make this better?"
