I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business that continues to experience significant growth across its UK operations. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll & HR Administrator to join their busy HR team.

As Payroll & HR Administrator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll while supporting the wider HR function across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with HR colleagues and managers, you'll handle a wide range of payroll and HR administration tasks, including managing complex employee casework and ensuring compliance with current employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
• Process end-to-end payroll accurately using Sage Payroll.
• Maintain employee payroll records, ensuring all data is accurate and compliant.
• Process starters, leavers, contractual changes, sickness, maternity/paternity, overtime, bonuses and statutory payments.
• Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide comprehensive HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and induction administration.
• Manage employee records and HR documentation in line with GDPR.
• Assist with absence management, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes.
• Support HR Business Partners with complex employee relations casework, maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Produce payroll and HR reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and payroll regulations.
• Build positive relationships with managers across the manufacturing operation.
The successful candidate will have:
• Previous experience in a Payroll and HR Administration role.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll (essential).
• Experience processing payroll from start to finish.
• Previous exposure to managing or supporting complex HR case loads, including disciplinary, grievance and absence management.
• Excellent understanding of payroll legislation and HR best practice.
• High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment would be advantageous.
