HSE Manager
Location: Bourne
Salary: £45,000
Shift: Days | Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental professional looking for your next challenge within food manufacturing?
Due to continued growth and investment, we are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join a well-established food production business. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving health, safety and environmental standards across a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
The RoleAs HSE Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the site's health, safety and environmental strategy, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation while promoting a positive safety culture throughout the business.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading all health, safety and environmental activities across the site.
• Ensuring compliance with current HSE legislation and food manufacturing standards.
• Managing and developing the site's HSE policies and procedures.
• Conducting risk assessments, audits and site inspections.
• Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Driving behavioural safety initiatives and promoting a proactive safety culture.
• Managing environmental compliance, permits and sustainability initiatives.
• Delivering HSE training and toolbox talks to employees across the business.
• Liaising with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
• Providing regular HSE reports and KPI analysis to senior management.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
• Previous experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental position within food manufacturing or FMCG.
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Experience with BRCGS and food manufacturing standards would be advantageous.
• Proven experience driving cultural change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with the capability to influence at all levels of the business.
