Geography & Religious Education Teacher Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract (1 Year) September 2026 Start £150 - £250 per day REED Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Hemel Hempstead area to recruit a talented and dedicated Geography & Religious Education Teacher for a full-time, one-year fixed-term position starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about both Geography and Religious Education and has the experience and subject knowledge to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The Role You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Geography and RE, creating a positive learning environment and supporting students to achieve their full potential. Key responsibilities include: • Teaching Geography and Religious Education to KS3 and KS4 students. • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons. • Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress. • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. • Contributing to the wider life of the school and departmental activities. • Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve excellent outcomes. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • Have recent experience teaching Geography and Religious Education within a secondary school setting. • Be confident teaching both subjects up to GCSE level (KS4). • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills. • Be passionate about inspiring young people and raising attainment. • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
