Hygiene Manager Bridgend Area, South Wales Circa £45,000 Permanent | Full-Time Join a Growing Food Manufacturing Business with Exciting Plans for the Future We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected food manufacturing business to recruit a Hygiene Manager for their South Wales operation. Our client has built an excellent reputation within the industry for quality, customer service, and operational excellence. Following a sustained period of growth and investment, they continue to strengthen their market position and are now seeking an experienced hygiene professional to help drive standards across the site. The Role As Hygiene Manager, you will take ownership of the site's hygiene function, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, compliance, and operational excellence are maintained at all times. This is a key leadership position, responsible for developing the hygiene team, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the site consistently meets customer, regulatory, and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities • Lead, motivate, and develop the hygiene team. • Manage staffing levels, rotas, and holiday planning. • Create, implement, and continuously improve cleaning schedules. • Ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, COSHH, and Health & Safety requirements. • Deliver hygiene and food safety training across the team. • Conduct hygiene audits, inspections, and corrective action reviews. • Drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. • Work closely with Production, Technical, and Quality teams to maintain exceptional site standards. • Manage cleaning equipment, consumables, and chemical supplies. • Maintain accurate hygiene records, reports, and audit documentation. About You We are looking for an experienced Hygiene Manager, Hygiene Supervisor, or Hygiene Team Leader with a strong background in food manufacturing. You will have: • Previous hygiene leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen control. • Experience working within BRCGS, HACCP, and COSHH standards. • Excellent communication and people management skills. • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. • A proactive approach to driving site standards and continuous improvement. • Food Safety or Hygiene qualifications would be advantageous.
