Job description

ICT Project Officer • Annual Salary: £17.16 per hour • Location: Hybrid • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary Contract We are seeking an ICT Project Officer to assist in the implementation of a new Finance and HR System Replacement. This role involves supporting the Project Manager and Programme Director in managing the project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and maintaining compliance with the Council's project management methodology. Day-to-day of the role: • Assist the Programme Director and Project Manager in the day-to-day management of the programme, projects, and workstreams. • Provide project support while ensuring compliance with the Council's project management methodology. • Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination. • Respond to all relevant correspondence, enquiries, and complaints in a timely and effective manner. • Administer the Project Change Register and accurately manage the project budget using the City Council finance system. • Maintain control of project risk and issue logs, updating schedules, recording new risks, and distributing details to designated owners. • Liaise with stakeholders, third-party vendors, agencies, and subcontractors, reporting progress as necessary. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Demonstrable knowledge of procurement processes and systems. • Competent user of Microsoft Office products. • Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders. • Comprehensive knowledge of City Council, National, and European tendering and procurement guidelines and regulations. • Flexibility to meet customer demand and service requirements. • Essential: Experience in project officer roles. • Desirable: Experience with Legal Case Management, Legal Services, and/or experience in Local Government or other public sectors.
