Experienced Paralegal - Immigration & Family Law • Location: Stratford • Job Type: Full-time - Office Based We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join an established team in Stratford. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to advance their career in immigration and family law. You will support our solicitors in managing a diverse caseload, offering a chance to develop your legal expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment. Day-to-day of the role: • Assist solicitors with a mixed caseload of immigration and family law matters, ensuring thorough preparation and management of each case. • Prepare and submit detailed immigration applications, appeals, and supporting documentation, adhering to strict legal standards and deadlines. • Provide support in family law cases, including drafting documents for divorce proceedings, child arrangements, and financial remedy matters. • Draft legal documents, witness statements, correspondence, and prepare court bundles with precision and attention to detail. • Liaise effectively with clients, courts, the Home Office, barristers, and other relevant authorities to ensure smooth case progression. • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy formulation. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with firm procedures and legal requirements. • Manage client files diligently, organising and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and client expectations. • Support solicitors in preparing for hearings and tribunals, including assembling necessary documents and briefing materials. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience in a paralegal role, with exposure to both immigration law, family law. • Strong organisational and case management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to draft clear and effective legal documents. • High level of attention to detail and precision in legal drafting and document review. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with legal case management systems. • A Law Degree or equivalent legal qualification is highly desirable. • Certifications or courses in immigration or family law are advantageous.
