Information & Education Manager Salary – £32,454 - £40,568 per annum Hours – 37.5 hours per week Location – Ipswich Office, Suffolk As an Information & Education Manager at FCC Environment, you will inform, educate and encourage residents and Recycling Centre users across Suffolk to increase waste minimisation, reuse and recycling. Working closely with Suffolk County Council, you will lead communication campaigns, develop educational programmes, analyse service data and help improve customer satisfaction across the Suffolk Recycling Centre contract. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week. Our promise to you - Competitive salary - 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays - Pension scheme - Life insurance - Discretionary bonus scheme - On-the-job training and progression - Recognition scheme - Refer a friend scheme - Flexible benefits, including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership (where applicable) - Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing Platform What will you be doing? - Develop and deliver engaging talks and presentations to schools, community groups and other organisations on waste minimisation, reuse and recycling - Create and deliver communication campaigns in partnership with FCC Environment and Suffolk County Council - Produce communication materials including signage, leaflets, press releases, posters and website content - Manage social media content and respond to enquiries and feedback - Support and promote recycling, reuse and waste reduction initiatives across Suffolk - Manage customer feedback systems, satisfaction surveys and improvement plans - Work with local charities and reuse partners to increase social value and reuse opportunities - Carry out Recycling Centre audits and monitor service standards - Produce monthly dashboard reports and management information to support contract performance What are we looking for? - Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences - Experience working in a communications role, ideally delivering environmental or waste-related messages - Previous administrative experience - Experience of teaching, training or delivering presentations would be advantageous - Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications - The ability to manage projects and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders - Creative and innovative approach to developing campaigns and engagement activities - Strong customer service, written communication and data analysis skills - The ability to work independently while also being an effective team player About us We are FCC Environment, one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies.
