Utilities Coordinator

We're looking for a Utilities Co-ordinator to join our civil engineering infrastructure team based in Suffolk. Location: Suffolk Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. We're carrying out the construction of civil engineering infrastructure in the Suffolk area, working around live utilities. As a Utilities Co-ordinator, you'll play a vital role in managing and coordinating all utility-related activities, ensuring that existing services are identified, protected, diverted, or installed safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders, delivering innovative solutions whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. What will you be responsible for? As a Utilities Co-ordinator, you'll be working within the engineering team, supporting them in delivering safe and efficient utility coordination across civil engineering projects. Your day to day will include: • Identifying existing underground and overground utility services using client systems, drawings, and statutory plans, and coordinating site investigations, • Acting as the main point of contact between the project team, client utility team, and utility providers, arranging meetings and managing stakeholder relationships, • Planning and coordinating utility diversions in line with the construction programme and ensuring adequate protection measures are in place, • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations including HSG47 and CDM Regulations, promoting safe systems of work around utilities, • Maintaining accurate utility records, drawings, and asset information, tracking risks and reporting progress to the project team. This role of Utilities Co-ordinator is great for you if: • You have experience working with utilities coordination on civil engineering or infrastructure projects, • You possess knowledge of utility regulations, standards, and processes, and are familiar with interpreting utility drawings and records, • You hold a CSCS Card and Full driving licence, • You have strong organisational and coordination skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, • You're collaborative, trusted, and focused in your approach, with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
