Are you a strategic recruiter with high volume Industrial experience? Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (Ideally 6 Months, minimum 3 Months) Salary: £60,000 per annum (pro rata) + Car Allowance Location: Hybrid / UK-wide travel required About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Recruiter to support a significant growth and operational project across our clients national logistics network. This is a high-profile, fixed-term appointment designed to lead a large-scale recruitment project, ensuring the business can rapidly attract, recruit and onboard a substantial number of drivers. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and delivering innovative recruitment strategies whilst remaining hands-on in day-to-day recruitment activity. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and influence business growth through effective workforce planning and talent acquisition. Key Responsibilities Strategic Recruitment Leadership • Design and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to support business growth and operational expansion. • Partner with senior stakeholders to fulfil recruitment needs. • Develop innovative sourcing approaches to attract talent within challenging and competitive labour markets. • Analyse recruitment performance, identify trends and recommend improvements to attraction and selection processes. • Present recruitment plans, progress updates and recommendations to senior leadership, including Board-level stakeholders where required. Recruitment Delivery • Lead and support high-volume recruitment campaigns across multiple locations. • Support the management of large volumes of applications and CVs efficiently, ensuring an excellent candidate experience. • Support the Recruitment Manager & Agency Engagement Manager with recruitment delivery during peak periods. • Work closely with agency partners, assessing effectiveness and maximising return on investment. • Ensure recruitment activities are completed within agreed timescales while maintaining quality standards. Stakeholder Engagement • Build strong relationships with depot managers and operational leaders across the UK to understand their recruitment needs and challenges • Collaborate with HR colleagues to align recruitment activity with wider people initiatives. • Partner with the Head of Marketing to develop creative attraction campaigns and strengthen employer branding. • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership regarding recruitment market conditions and talent acquisition best practice. Project Support • Contribute to wider business optimisation and growth projects. • Provide recruitment expertise to support workforce planning and operational scaling initiatives. • Work alongside the Recruitment Manager, who will continue to focus on onboarding, induction and business-as-usual recruitment activity. Essential Experience • Proven experience in high-volume, within logistics, transport, distribution • Experience delivering large-scale recruitment projects within fast-paced organisations. • Ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies that deliver measurable results. • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making. • Strong project management and organisational skills. Working Arrangements This is a hybrid role with flexibility regarding home location. Travel to depots and operational sites across the UK.
