Job Advert (Polished & Candidate-Focused) Injection Moulding Technician Stirchley, Birmingham Competitive Salary (DOE) + £3.00/hr Night Shift Premium + Excellent Benefits Are you an experienced Injection Moulding Technician looking to take the next step in your career with a well-established and growing manufacturer? This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that invests in modern equipment, continuous improvement, and the development of its people. You'll play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently, products meet the highest quality standards, and processes are continuously optimised. The Role Working closely with the Technical Manager, you'll take ownership of moulding operations across production shifts, ensuring Right First Time and Just in Time manufacturing performance. Key responsibilities: • Set and condition injection moulding tools for production • Run moulding machines using established programmes and process parameters • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with customer standards • Diagnose machine faults and implement corrective actions • Carry out routine maintenance and tooling fault-finding • Support process improvement and troubleshooting initiatives • Conduct quality inspections and maintain accurate records • Prepare auxiliary equipment and production set-ups • Use production systems (e.g. Blackbird / ERP systems) • Assist with new tool trials and process optimisation • Provide shift support/supervision when required • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping About You To succeed in this role, you will have: • Minimum 3 years’ experience in injection moulding • IMT Level 2 & 3 qualifications • Strong machine setting and processing experience • Experience with tool trials and process optimisation • Mechanical fault-finding skills and basic electrical knowledge • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics) • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail • A proactive, continuous improvement mindset What’s in it for You? • Competitive salary (dependent on experience) • £3.00/hour night shift premium • Company pension scheme • Generous holiday allowance • On-site parking • Ongoing training and career development • Opportunity to work on new tooling and improvement projects Working Hours Rotating shifts: • 6:00am – 2:00pm • 2:00pm – 10:00pm • Occasional nights (premium paid) Note: Monday early shift starts at 4:30am Interested?
