Interim Finance Manager – 12 Month FTC Sheffield (Hybrid Working) July 2026 Start Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a well-established international business with the recruitment of a Financial Accounting Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical finance professional to join a high-performing finance function in a broad and visible leadership role, managing core financial accounting operations across the UK business. Working closely with senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring strong financial control, statutory compliance and continuous improvement across the finance function, whilst leading and developing an established transactional and financial accounting team. Key Responsibilities • Lead the financial accounting function including general ledger, AP, AR and cash flow activities • Manage and develop a finance team, driving performance and engagement • Ensure strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity and accurate statutory reporting • Oversee external audit processes and support tax compliance activities • Support working capital and cash flow management across the business • Partner with senior stakeholders across finance and operations • Drive process improvements and support wider finance transformation initiatives • Support investment appraisal and capital expenditure processes Skills & Experience • Fully qualified ACA / ACCA accountant • Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting experience • Previous team management and leadership experience is essential • Experience operating within a complex or multi-entity environment • Strong understanding of financial controls and governance • Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders • Proactive, hands-on approach with strong organisational skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded business in a broad finance leadership role.
