Job Title: Interventional and Fluoroscopy Imaging Clinical Lead Department: Radiology Hour: 37.5 hours/week Salary: Band 7 Contract: Permanent About us The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest independent charitable hospitals. The role The Interventional Radiology Clinical Lead is to be responsible for the effective day-to-day organisation and clinical management of Interventional Radiology (IR) and Fluoroscopy modalities. There is a requirement for you to lead on modality improvement review & clinical practice development for radiographers, as well as maintaining a full clinical role with associated responsibilities. Key responsibilities • To be responsible for the efficient organisation of IR and Fluoro Radiology procedures through maximising effective use of the equipment and staff, whilst maintaining high standards of patient care. • To effectively supervise, support, manage and lead a team of clinical radiographers on a daily basis, while adhering to departmental policies and procedures. • To work closely with the Practice Educator in ensuring staff are trained and competency targets are met. • To develop and monitor the IR radiologist On-Call roster to ensure service cover. • To ensure the provision of an efficient service to the entire hospital by liaising and coordinating with the bookings team and Consultant Radiologists. • To have daily oversight of the equipment issues that arise and be responsible for resolving the issues with Service providers, while being mindful to escalate to Superintendent. • To be aware of the developments within the scope of practice and share these developments through the use of CPD sessions and Audit days. • To propose improvement models to maximise provision of services and respond to changes in demand. • To produce monthly reports on capacity, demand and activity data and engage in service improvement analysis to ensure growth.
