IT Category Manager 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Hybrid or fully remote Sussex or Midlands Alexander Lloyd are partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced IT Category Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established procurement professional to take ownership of a significant IT spend portfolio, leading sourcing activity across software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital services, and consultancy spend. Key Responsibilities • Develop and deliver IT category strategies that drive value, savings, service improvements, and risk mitigation. • Lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including tendering, supplier selection, negotiations, due diligence, and contract management. • Manage strategic supplier relationships and optimise supplier performance. • Partner with stakeholders across the business to shape sourcing decisions and procurement strategies. • Negotiate commercial agreements that balance cost, risk, service, and long-term business objectives. • Oversee supplier onboarding and implementation activities. About You • Significant experience within IT procurement or category management. • Proven track record managing complex sourcing projects and commercial negotiations. • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders. • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. • CIPS qualified or working towards qualification is desirable.
