Job description

As Laboratory Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management and development of the embryology laboratories across Care Fertility Birmingham and Tamworth. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality fertility laboratory services, maintaining compliance with HFEA, HCPC, ISO and Care Fertility standards, and providing leadership to a team of embryology professionals. The role combines clinical expertise with operational leadership, including responsibility for laboratory governance, quality management, risk management, workforce planning, training, equipment management, cryostorage oversight, and continuous service improvement. You will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to support excellent patient outcomes and contribute to the strategic development of fertility services across both sites. The successful candidate will remain actively involved in clinical embryology practice, supporting complex cases and providing expert guidance to colleagues while fostering a culture of quality, collaboration and excellence.
