Graduate Town PlannerLocation: Surrey Salary: Competitive + Benefits Are you a recent graduate with a passion for planning, development, and shaping communities? Our client is seeking an ambitious Graduate Town Planner to join their growing team in Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated graduate to gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of planning projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment. The RoleAs a Graduate Town Planner, you will assist with the delivery of planning projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and strategic land developments. You will work closely with senior planners and consultants, developing your technical knowledge and gaining valuable exposure to all stages of the planning process. Key responsibilities will include: • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications. • Conducting planning policy research and site appraisals. • Supporting the preparation of planning statements and reports. • Liaising with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders. • Monitoring planning applications and policy developments. • Attending site visits, meetings, and public consultations where required. • Providing general planning support across a range of projects. About YouThe successful candidate will have: • A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline accredited by the RTPI. • A genuine interest in UK planning and development. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organisational and research abilities. • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks. • A full UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
