Are you passionate about supporting learners with additional needs to achieve their full potential? We are recruiting dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Further Education settings in South East London starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience supporting learners with SEND, or those who have transferable skills from education, care, youth work, or support environments. Pay Rate is £15.5 - £17 per hour. • Full-time hours available The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping learners access their education, develop independence and achieve their individual learning goals. You will support young people and adults with a range of additional learning needs, both in and outside of the classroom. Key responsibilities include: • Providing high-quality, person-centred support to learners with SEND. • Supporting learners to engage with lessons, college activities and wider services. • Assisting learners in developing study skills, confidence and independence. • Supporting learners with EHCP outcomes and individual learning targets. • Working one-to-one or with small groups of learners. • Providing personal care and mobility support where required, always maintaining dignity and respect. • Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times. • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure positive learner outcomes. Skills & Experience We are looking for candidates who have: • Experience supporting learners with SEND, either in education, care or community settings. • Strong literacy and numeracy skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • The ability to build positive relationships with learners, colleagues and families. • Knowledge of safeguarding and the barriers faced by learners with additional needs. • A patient, adaptable and proactive approach. • Good IT and administrative skills. • Experience within a Secondary School or Further Education setting is desirable but not essential.
