Learning Support Assistant (College)Maidstone | Full-Time | September Start Do you have a passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed both academically and practically? We are working with a well-established college in Maidstone that is looking to appoint a committed and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join their team this September. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role. You'll be supporting students with their learning in the classroom, particularly in Maths and English, as well as assisting during practical sessions in outdoor agricultural and land-based environments. About the Role • Provide tailored support to students on a one-to-one and small group basis. • Assist learners with Maths and English to improve confidence, understanding and attainment. • Work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning activities to meet individual student needs. • Support students during practical agricultural and land-based lessons, including outdoor activities. • Encourage independence, resilience and positive participation throughout the college day. • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment for all students. We're Looking For Someone Who • Has previous experience working with young people in an educational or support setting. • Is confident supporting students with Maths and English. • Enjoys working both indoors and outdoors and is happy to assist with practical agricultural activities. • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Is patient, reliable and able to build strong relationships with students and colleagues. • Can remain calm, positive and adaptable in a busy college environment.
