You will work closely with teachers, SEND teams, and pastoral staff to provide high-quality support both in and out of the classroom. The RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities may include: • Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to help them access the curriculum. • Working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons. • Encouraging students to develop confidence, resilience, and independence. • Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including SEND. • Assisting with targeted interventions to improve academic progress and wellbeing. • Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, supportive learning environment. • Preparing learning resources and providing classroom support where required. • Building positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and the wider school community. We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting (although transferable experience is welcomed). • A caring, patient, and encouraging approach. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • The ability to build positive relationships with students from a variety of backgrounds. • Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs and abilities. • A proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative. • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
