Legal CashierAbout the OpportunityAn established and growing law firm is seeking a Legal Cashier to join its finance team based in Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal finance professional with at least 12 months' experience in a legal cashiering or legal accounts role to join a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the firm's financial processes while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures. The role is fully office-based and would suit someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues, being part of a collaborative team environment, and taking ownership of their responsibilities. The RoleWorking as part of the finance function, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm. Key responsibilities will include: • Processing client and office account transactions • Managing electronic payments, receipts, and bank transfers • Performing daily bank reconciliations • Posting financial transactions accurately and efficiently • Assisting with completion statements and property-related financial transactions where required • Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules • Processing bills and supporting fee earners with financial queries • Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting • Investigating and resolving account discrepancies • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation • Liaising with colleagues, clients, and third parties regarding financial matters Candidate RequirementsThe successful candidate will ideally possess: • A minimum of 1 year's experience within a Legal Cashier or Legal Accounts role • Good understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules • Experience working with legal accounts systems • Strong numerical and analytical skills • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Good organisational and time management skills • Strong communication skills and a professional manner • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • A proactive and reliable approach to work What's on Offer • Competitive salary dependent upon experience • Stable and growing firm with long-term career opportunities • Supportive and collaborative working environment • Modern office facilities • Ongoing training and development • Exposure to a broad range of legal finance matters • Full-time office-based role with strong team interaction This opportunity would suit an experienced Legal Cashier looking to join a progressive law firm where they can play an integral role within a busy and professional finance team.
