Legal CashierJoin a well-established Corporate & Commercial Law Firm as a Legal Cashier, where you'll play a key role in supporting a busy finance function within a fast-paced legal environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Cashier looking to join a collaborative team and take ownership of a varied cashiering role.
About the RoleAs a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of both Client and Office Accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules. Working as part of a close-knit finance team, you'll manage a broad range of legal cashiering duties while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage Client and Office Account transactions.
• Process office-to-client and client-to-office transfers.
• Raise client bills and support the billing process.
• Process CHAPS and Faster Payments.
• Process legal payments accurately and efficiently.
• Complete bank reconciliations.
• Manage Client and Office bank accounts.
• Post client receipts.
• Support Purchase Ledger activities.
• Assist with the wider Legal Cashiering function as required.
Key Requirements
• Previous Legal Cashier experience.
• Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules.
• Experience managing both Client and Office Accounts.
• Experience processing CHAPS, Faster Payments and other legal payments.
• Ability to manage a high volume of financial transactions accurately.
• Confident working independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
