The organisation offers a collaborative working environment and values practical, commercially focused legal support. Description The Commercial Legal Counsel will be: • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts relating to the domestic and international purchase and sale of goods and services. • Advising commercial, procurement and operational teams on contractual risk and practical solutions. • Providing initial advice on employment, HR and litigation matters, instructing external counsel where specialist support is required. • Supporting the business with environmental, regulatory and competition law matters. • Developing legal templates, guidance and processes to help the wider business manage risk effectively. Profile The Commercial Legal Counsel should be: • A solicitor or equivalent with at 5 five years PQE. • Experienced in drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts. • Currently working in private practice or in-house. • Experienced within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or other operational environments/clients. • Comfortable supporting or coordinating advice across areas such as employment, litigation, environmental and regulatory law.
