Job description

SWRP are recruiting for a Legal Secretary within Litigation on behalf of a professional, fast growing business based in the heart of Nottingham. The Role You’ll provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support within a busy Litigation team, working closely with a newly appointed Partner and supporting them as they establish and grow their presence in the Nottingham office. This is a varied and exciting opportunity to play a key role from the outset, helping to build and support a growing team. You’ll need to be highly organised, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced legal environment. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on being kept busy, and wants to be part of a developing and ambitious team. Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to Solicitors and fee earners within the Litigation team • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and court bundles • Manage and maintain client files, both electronically and in hard copy • Coordinate diaries, appointments, court dates, and meetings • Handle incoming and outgoing communications (email, post, and telephone) • Assist with document production, formatting, and version control • Liaise with clients, courts, and third parties in a professional manner • Support with case administration and general office tasks About You • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Litigation • Strong audio typing and document production skills with a high level of accuracy • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail • Confident working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively What’s on Offer • A varied role within a busy and professional Litigation team • Supportive and collaborative working environment • Excellent exposure to a wide range of litigation matters • Ongoing development and training opportunities • Working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00am-5.30pm, and Friday 9.00am-5.00pm • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell additional days • Competitive benefits package including pension contributions, life assurance, private health insurance and social events If you’re an experienced Legal Secretary, based in or around Nottingham, looking for a role where you can make a real impact, SWRP would love to hear from you.
