Legal Secretary - Residential/Commercial Property
• Location: York City Centre
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Salary: £29,460
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with an hour lunch (Part Time considered)

We are excited to offer a position at a leading law firm that is seeking a Legal Secretary to support a commercial property Fee Earner due to expansion of workload.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Document Preparation: Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
• File Management: Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Client Communication: Handle client inquiries, schedule appointments, and manage correspondence.
• Diary Management: Manage calendars for solicitors, including scheduling meetings.
• Audio Typing: Transcribe dictations and audio recordings accurately and efficiently.
• Billing and Invoicing: Assist with the preparation of bills and invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including photocopying, filing, and data entry.
• Legal Applications: Complete land registry applications and SDLT returns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in commercial or residential property.
• Preferred: Proficiency in audio typing with a high level of accuracy and speed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal practice management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
