We are looking for a number of customer focused and proactive Library Assistants to join our Customer Service team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive and supportive environment for students. Whether you are helping a student find the information they need, supporting them with technology, maintaining a productive study environment, or simply offering a friendly welcome, your contribution will have a direct impact on the student experience.
What you will be doing:
As a Library Assistant, you will:
• Deliver outstanding customer service to students, staff and visitors.
• Act as a first point of contact for enquiries, providing advice and guidance on Library services and resources.
• Support students in making effective use of library technologies, including self-service equipment, printing and photocopying facilities.
• Help create a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment where students can study confidently and successfully.
We are looking for people who are passionate about providing an excellent customer experience, enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering a high-quality service.
We have two posts available. LR4103 is permanent and part-time at 18.5 hours per week. LR4127 is fixed-term until 05 April 2027 and part-time at 15 hours per week.
