Litigation Paralegal Location: Manchester (Hybrid) Salary: Competitive / Dependent on Experience About the Role My client, a leading law firm, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join their growing litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of contentious matters while working closely with experienced solicitors and partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting fee earners and managing aspects of litigation files, whilst developing their technical skills and progressing their legal career within a supportive and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Assisting with the management of litigation matters from instruction to conclusion • Drafting correspondence and legal documents • Assisting with conducting County Court proceedings • Preparing court bundles and assisting with trial preparation • Liaising with clients, Counsel, and third parties • Ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements • Providing general support to fee earners on a range of litigation matters Essential Skills • Educated to degree level • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Confidence and self-motivation • Ability to work to strict deadlines in a pressurised environment • Strong attention to detail • IT literate • Demonstrable willingness to learn and progress Essential Experience • Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules • Experience dealing with County Court claims • Experience liaising with Counsel • Basic knowledge of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules Preferred Experience (Not Essential) • Mortgagee possession claims • Landlord and tenant work • Experience in High Court and/or tribunal proceedings • Experience acting for finance company or lender clients Desirable Qualifications • LPC /SQE 1 would be an advantage, but not essential About the candidate You will need to be experienced, proactive, organised, and eager to develop your legal career. You will have a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in litigation, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and client service. Previous experience working as a Litigation Paralegal or similar is also required.
