Job description

1. The post holder will participate in the consultant led trauma service to maintain a high quality trauma service with consultant involvement in early operative work and fracture clinic supervision. The appointee would be encouraged to further develop and update skills in the acute management of complex fractures and reconstruction of intra-articular fractures. 2. Surgical work will encompass the whole range of general orthopaedic. Elective surgical work will include primarily foot and ankle surgery including arthroscopic surgery and reconstruction. 3. The post holder will be required to adopt a continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge in partnership with other consultant colleagues. 4. He/she will be expected to fully participate in the teaching activities of the Directorate. 5. He/she will share in the Directorates management and administrative responsibilities by representing the Orthopaedic Directorate in Trust committees. Job description Job responsibilities 1.
