Management Accountant (12 Month FTC)

Management Accountant - 12-Month FTCLondon | Hybrid Working | Study Support Available Your new company An established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. There is potential for the contract to be extended beyond the initial term to support a comprehensive handover and the ongoing needs of the business. This opportunity would suit a part-qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant looking to broaden their experience within a professional services environment while continuing their studies with the support of an experienced finance team. Your new role • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts • Producing KPI reports and monthly management information packs • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances • Preparing quarterly VAT returns • Supporting statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including ONS submissions • Posting payroll journals and liaising with internal stakeholders • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and reforestation processes • Delivering ad-hoc financial analysis and Excel-based reporting What you'll need to succeed • ACCA or CIMA part-qualified and actively studying • Previous experience in a management accounting or finance role • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business • Experience within a law firm or professional services environment is essential.
