Investment Management Accountant • Annual Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum plus benefits • Location: Central London • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Reed Finance is partnering with a leading real estate investment firm to recruit for them an Investment Management Accountant. This role offers the opportunity to engage deeply with the financial operations of this organisation’s property development entities. This role is seeking a newly qualified Accountant who has a solid background ideally within real estate/property management accounting or comes from a practice background with hands-on accounts preparation/management accounting experience. In return this role will offer you a fantastic exposure into the real estate investment and development sector in a dynamic and impactful role. Day-to-day of the role: • Prepare and manage management accounts for various real estate entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards. • Conduct detailed financial reviews of transactions, prepare month and quarter-end journals, and support the variance analysis for quarterly figures. • Collaborate with asset and project managers to produce forecasts and manage the timely upload of financial figures for group reporting. • Handle development property cost coding, reporting, and analysis, ensuring alignment with project budgets and stakeholder requirements. • Manage VAT and CIS returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy in submissions to HMRC. • Engage with external partners and auditors, providing necessary financial data and supporting year-end audits and tax computations. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, with experience preferably in real estate investment or private equity would be considered, • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Experience with VAT returns and compliance. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred), and familiar with accounting software like NetSuite, Yardi, or similar. • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills. • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
