Mechanical Technician Looking for a hands-on engineering role with excellent benefits, overtime opportunities, and long-term career prospects? Due to continued expansion we're recruiting a Mechanical Technician to join a well-established engineering team working on specialist subsea equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys assembly, testing, and problem-solving in a high-quality manufacturing environment. What's on Offer? 37-hour working week Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm Flexible working hours available 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays 5% employer pension contribution Private healthcare Life insurance worth 2x your annual salary Excellent overtime rates: • Time and a half Monday to Saturday • Double time on Sundays • Overtime paid after 37 hours worked The Role As a Mechanical Technician, you'll be involved in the assembly, testing, and commissioning of advanced mechanical and hydraulic equipment used in demanding subsea environments. Key responsibilities include: • Assembling mechanical and hydraulic components, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies • Mechanical assembly and load testing of subsea products • Manufacturing and testing hydraulic hoses and pipework • Pressure testing, setup, and functional testing of a wide range of tooling and assemblies • Working closely with other departments to ensure quality standards and project deadlines are achieved • Completing all relevant documentation, including quality records, timesheets, NCRs, and ECNs About You We're keen to hear from candidates who have: • A background in mechanical assembly, fitting, or maintenance • Experience as an automotive mechanic, vehicle technician, or similar hands-on engineering role • A solid understanding of mechanical engineering practices and assembly techniques • Completed a mechanical apprenticeship or have equivalent shop-floor engineering experience • A strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail If you're looking to join a growing engineering business where your skills are valued and rewarded, we'd love to hear from you.
