Mechatronics Engineer

We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer to join our engineering team in West Midlands, helping to develop cutting-edge antenna positioning systems and bespoke electromechanical solutions used across defence, government and commercial applications. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you'll: · Develop innovative electromechanical antenna positioning systems and customer-specific solutions · Support motor sizing, motion control and control system selection · Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation · Assist with software and GUI development for product control systems · Build, test and validate prototypes · Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives · Support production testing, reliability activities and quality standards · Collaborate closely with engineering, production and commercial teams to deliver exceptional products PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechatronics Engineer - Antenna Systems, Defence We're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, takes a hands-on approach to engineering, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Experience with CAD packages such as SolidWorks would be beneficial, along with an engineering degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience. Experience within defence, military or other harsh-environment applications would be an advantage, but it's not essential. You'll likely have experience within: · Mechatronics · Electromechanical design · Robotics · Automation systems · Motion control or control systems This role is subject to successful completion of SC clearance prior to commencement.
